One challenging project I worked on was a commercial office space renovation. The client wanted a modern and stylish design that would reflect their brand image and create an inspiring work environment. However, the existing space had a limited layout and structural restrictions that posed significant obstacles.
To overcome these challenges, I started by conducting a thorough analysis of the space, considering its limitations and possibilities. I worked closely with architects and contractors to develop a comprehensive plan that would optimize the layout and make the most of the available square footage.
One of the main obstacles was the presence of load-bearing walls that couldn’t be removed. To create a more open and flexible space, I proposed using glass partitions instead. This allowed for natural light to penetrate throughout the office while maintaining a sense of privacy. I collaborated with structural engineers to ensure the integrity of the glass partitions and the overall safety of the design.
Another challenge was the limited ceiling height, which restricted the installation of traditional light fixtures.
